Understanding the Rental Contracts
If you are renting a house, it is important that your rights and needs are considered before signing the lease. A lease protects the rights of the tenants and the landlords and should be fully laid out in any lease you sign.
Lease is considered as a legal contract that is why it is important that you know what you are signing and giving up. It should contain your renting details and how much grace period that you can have if you will be having problems paying the rent. It should also contain the details of the name of your landlord and give them your contact details. You will have to consider what your lease should cover like if you are allowed to redecorate or even have pets. Your responsibility to the house as a tenant should also be outlined in the lease. Whether you are responsible for the damages of the house if it happens, will they require you to keep the garden and know what bills will be covered by the rental cost. You should also know what taxes and fees that you will be required to pay and importantly is how long will be the lease for.
