Hiring an estate agent, interior designer or a sales team can help you sell your house smoothly and easily. But you can also do it yourself by advertising to classified ads or online.

Houses that are tidy, clean, free of clutter and have walls that are neutrally toned are considered to the easiest to sell. Some of the experts are advising to have your walls painted with white and some are advising to have it painted with, neutral, pale and matching colors. If for some reason you can't have the house painted, cleaning the house can also do the trick. Just make sure the walls are clean, remove clutters, and clean the woodworks.

While de-cluttering, you can also begin packing your things. But considering that some houses are sold after three months before planning to move (some are after a year) it is important not to sell it straight away unless your house is in a very much sought after area and your house has a good competitive price. If not, you may have to wait longer before your house gets sold.

Realtors and estate agents do a great job in selling houses but because of the increase in competitive market you need to be unique in selling your house. There are some reports that giving new cars or even paying one year of the tax of the house. The housing market is continuously expanding but you just can't sell anything. A dilapidated house can not be simply be considered as "fixer uppers" and all of the houses that are for sale have to meet the increasing stringent codes or you can have the new owner fix these to meet those stringent codes.
