House Cleaning Tips
   One of the most troublesome things to do when moving into a new house is cleaning and removing stains. Knowing a few tips and tricks on how to clean your new house can be very helpful. Remember to do a spot test first before applying these tips to make sure it will do more good than harm. You should have all your cleaning items with you, having a box where to put all the cleaning items will be more organized and the easier you can access the tools you need which can save your time.
Common household items can easily remove some stains. A pencil eraser can easily remove scuffs and marks on woodworks. Marks from wheels, shoes or marks caused by a rubber bumping against things can be hard to removed using regular cleaning items but a pencil eraser can easily remove the stain.
Toothpaste is also a good cleaning agent not only for your teeth but also tough on stubborn ink, scuff stains and crayons. It can easily remove the stains from any surface. Stains should be removed first before painting since it may still show after several layers of paint. Toothpaste is also good in removing crayon stains from glass. Apply it lightly using a non-abrasive cloth and leave it for about an hour before gently scrubbing it.

Dried toothpaste, scum stains and lime scale come off with a small application of an oxy-based paste. Oxy based cleaner can easily be found in most of the supermarkets.
Moldy or damp smells can easily be eliminated with the use of bicarbonate of soda. Just simply apply it to the area where the smell is coming from. The odor should be gone within 24 hours. Same result will also be obtained with charcoal or a few drops of vanilla on a piece of clothe. Baking soda is also good to use and may last up to a month so it is not just for moving into a new house.
When washing a textured wall, use a nylon sock so wont leave fluff. Be sure to wash the walls from bottom to top to prevent streaking and apply a cleaning solution in small patches while you are cleaning.
Wax from floors, carpets or curtains can be removed by simply using an absorbent cloth and a hot iron. The wax will stick to the absorbent cotton and that would make it easier to peel away.
Lastly, never mix cleaning products that contain ammonia and bleach because it can be deadly when their fumes are combined. Proper precautions should be taken when cleaning a spot that has been treated with different kinds of solutions. Not only it may be dangerous but it may also cause spotting or unwanted marks.
